De la misma manera que se valida la autenticidad de un documento público a través de la Apostilla de la Haya, en ocasiones, las autoridades públicas requieren una certificación que valide la autenticidad de los documentos que no son públicos. Dependiendo del documento, las autoridades pueden exigir una certificación de la firma, una notarización del documento, u otra forma de certificación.

Escaneo

Dado que la traducción jurada de un documento incluye no sólo el texto principal sino también todas las marcas, emblemas, firmas, sellos, etc., los documentos deberán ser escaneados en color y con una resolución que permita que se vean todos los detalles del mismo. Cada documento deberá guardarse en formato PDF con todas sus páginas.
